In three days I will be sitting on a plane, on my way to Munich. I'm getting more excited as the days pass by. My luggage is packed and I have finally made it under the 50 pound weight limit!!
I would like to take this moment to introduce you to Paisley the puppy, who will be going with me on this journey. I plan on using her like you would use Flat Stanley, then I am going to make a book on the adventures she took. Something fun I can share with my family. (My niece and nephew in particular.)
I hope everyone enjoys seeing her pop up from time to time. :-) I can't wait to start this journey and share all of the amazing adventures I will embark on.

Welcome to my blog, I encourage you to grab a comfortable seat and come along with me as I spend the 2014 Fall semester in Salzburg, Austria. I leave in 17 days and as I get closer and closer to what I’m positive will be an amazing experience my excitement only grows. (Along with a little bit of nerves, because after all the unknown can be slightly scary.)
From August 31st-December 13th I will be living out a dream of mine. I will get to travel through not only Austria but many of the surrounding countries. I will have the opportunity to experience a new culture, meet new friends and of course jump into my educational endeavors.
As far as I know at this point, I will taking Understanding Austria, Basic German, History of European Art, and Photography. Photography being what I am most excited for because I am going to be in an absolutely gorgeous part of the world, which I hope will lead to some pretty amazing pictures. With the added bonus of being there when the trees change colors in the fall! (If you know me, you know my love of trees and the fall, so as stupid as it may sound I’m pretty excited to be there to witness the fall.)
This is where I hope to make weekly updates on my travels so that all that care to read can see what I’m up to. Now, the once a week idea is great in theory, but once I get there and get a grasp on what my schedule will be like that could change, but I will do my best to stick to once a week. This is also the form of social media that I plan on using the most because I have a goal to rid myself of most social media while I’m there. If you want to see random pictures here and there Instagram will be the go to for that because it’s easy and quick and doesn’t take too much away from I will be doing.
I hope you enjoy and I will update you guys as I near closer to my departure date. :-)
